Staying Healthy and stress free!

Well, I don't know what I weigh and I actually don't care! (don't get scared)

I log all my calories and eat healthfully, I don't deprive myself if I feel like I need an indulgence- as long as I have the calories to spare. I workout an minimum of an hour a day- 6x per week. And guess what? I feel really really great! I measure almost every day so other than than being a bit bloated on occasion, I really feel like I am still right around 137ish. For the last few weeks, I was so obsessed with getting to 135 (since that was my original goal) and the scale was my worst enemy! I realized that if I am trying to lose still, it also makes it really hard to not gain! My body needs to just maintain for a while. I decided I really just want to be healthy more than being a few pounds thinner.

Plus I also remembered that I look better than ever and should be happy with how far I have come. I put on a "goal bikini" last week for the first time ever since I bought it 3 years ago! I was  actually beaming at myself in the mirror. My husband went nutty when he saw me in it.
I don't really care what I weigh anyway, I just want to lose 2 inches off my waist ( I have said that so many times I sound like a broken record) so that is my ultimate goal. So along with a lot of fun and different types of cardio, I have been doing some great core workouts to help with that.

In conclusion, I am going to keep making smart decisions, and not letting the scale control my emotions. I feel more sane now than I have since being off the hcg in p2. Maybe in a month or so, when I measure smaller, I will see what I weigh just out of curiosity. And if I weigh 145 I won't even care- as long as I like what the mirror tells me- I don't care what the scale tells me. I like not obsessing over the scale or food or dieting and just focusing on things in my life that make me happy!

That's RIGHT! Stressing out will only hinder your progress, so congrats on letting the scale go, at least for now. As long as you are maintaining a healthy lifestyle, I don't see how that could hurt you. Back in Dr. Simeon's day, most women didn't hit the gym 6 days a week! lol We need to understand the numerous lifestyle differences between now and a half-century ago, and implement this protocol accordingly.

Thanks for the update!

Congrats on keeping your weight off! You look great! I did the program last June and as of today, I'm back to what I was when I started. Remember that 'just a little bit of sugar won't hurt me' is FALSE. It's poison! You CAN'T go back to your old ways AND you can't ignore the scale! I'm ready for another round or to begin again and this time when I get down to my new set point, I WON'T go back to my old ways!!

Vicki, I FEEL YOU! That is what I was starting to do! I got up to +7 lbs above my last injection at one point and got freaked out. It has been really REALLY hard maintaining but in order to not give my self a DISorder, I have just decided to stop thinking about being on a diet. I am so happy I did cuz like I said, I feel great. I am going to weigh every few weeks to make sure of course. Good Luck on your next round! I know you can make it stick!

HOLY COW! You are one of the most exuberant dieters I've ever seen. I need a piece of your motivation. Your YouTube videos inspire me on days I want to eat my arm off. Unlike you, I have had days of extreme hunger (okay, not Ethiopian hunger...but I've been really, really hungry for a chubby Utahn!) I live in a little rural town way south of you...I hope you'll post again...I'm so afraid of getting past P3 and packing on the weight again. Show us this can be done!!!

I absolutely enjoyed watching your videos and reading about your journey with your sister on HCG. I personally have 7 sisters who are all naturally tiny. I am super jealous that you had someone to experience all the ups and downs with. I am excited to have my blogging friends to help inspire, motivate, and excite me through this journey. Thanks again for the experiences!!!

Did you and your sister inject during your load days??? I'm going to start the program but am not sure how to start..
I've had some thyroid issues and it's been so hard taking these last 20-25 lbs off since my last baby..
I'm 5'9" and weigh about 168-170..I would love to get down to 145-150.. I have everything on order... I hope this works for me....

Hi Kat,
Well I did another round and got back to goal AND THEN had a melanoma removed and another surgery over the summer. It is ALL back again. I am starting round 4. It's HARD to keep it off Had done well until the surgeries and the meds, etc. So frustrated, but feel so much better at goal weight, so am trying again. Hope all is well with you. If you're keeping it off, how???
